Jared & Tiffany's E-Session: Claremont Colleges

I have to say this is one of the coolest couples I've ever photographed! Between books, hats, jackets and a bike, they had some serious style goin' on.

Jared and Tiffany met while in law school and love soon blossomed. They are set to be married this October and they have plans for an equally stylish wedding!

More to come soon!

John & Rachel: Santa Barbara Wedding

Sunshine, warm, fragrant air, summer dresses, vibrant flowers, soft perfume, sultry music, and a man and a woman in love.

I had the pleasure of photographing John and Rachel's wedding at Las Tapias in Santa Barbara, Ca. The venue looked like it was right out of Vanity Fair Magazine.

Gorgeous and Dramatic. I love a bride who knows how to stand just so. Rachel, you rock!

They released butterflies in memory of John's mother who passed away earlier this year.

Amazingly, one stayed and we were able to take the picture below.

Congratulations Rachel & John!

Thank you to Elaine Carter at Matters of the Heart Photography and Amy Murphy for shooting with me! It was great fun!

My Girl

My girl and I had a moment today. I don't know if she noticed, but I did. And it made my heart swell. Strangely, I can't remember the last time it happened.

With three young kids, and her being in the middle, time flies and days are crazy. Her older brother is becoming a young man, strong & independent and is now saying goodbye in the car before his friends see. Her younger brother is exactly what the youngest is in most families...attention getting and crazy.

But my girl is...well, my girl. Beautiful and strong and shy at the same time. Her doggy and blankey are a must at home and at school she now easily runs toward the classroom with a quick wave over her shoulder.

Today, it was just the two of us. No little brother moving in to be at my side. No one else getting attention but her. As we stepped out of the car to walk something happened. Like I said, I don't remember when it happened last, but it seems like ages. I don't know who made the first move, for I don't even think it was a conscious decision.

She held my hand.

For the rest of our time together. No letting go.

She's growing up and my heart swells with emotion...not wanting to let go of my little girl and proud of the young lady she's becoming.

I'm going to plan some more girl time with her....just so we can hold hands.

Summertime

The lazy days of summer are almost over. The kids are starting school and, while I'm sad, I'm also looking forward to spending a lot of time in editing! All alone! This will be the first time in 10 yrs that I've had 3 hrs at a time to myself...consistently. I feel a little giddy!

Next on my list...the beautiful wedding of Rachel & John. Their pictures will keep me in the festive summer mood. Warm air, fragrant flowers, good music, laughter, suntans and pretty dresses, butterflies and love. **sigh** Check back soon for an update.

Karyann & Dallin: Wedding- Redlands Temple

I had the honor of photographing Karyann and Dallin on their wedding day! They went to the Redlands Temple for a sealing ceremony and it was the most beautiful day ever! Karyann & Dallin are students at BYU in Utah, but came home to be wed in front of family and friends.

They are one of the most passionate and adorable couples I've ever photographed.

I love dad and daughter pictures. They were so cute and even sang while dancing!

Congratulations to Karyann & Dallin! May God bless your married life together!

Thank you, also, to Elaine Carter @ Matters of the Heart Photography for second shooting with me!
